Audi RSQ8 India Launch Details Out
Audi RSQ8 2020 |
Having recently launched the new RS7 in India,
Audi is set to introduce the RS Q8 in India very soon. In fact, the company teased us with the car and we will see it in our portfolio very soon. It is the first time in the company's 25-year history that an SUV coupe gets an adrenaline hit to make it a high-performance sports car. It is high performance as the RS Q8 under the hood comes with a 4-liter V8 that punches 600 Bhp and 800 Nm of torque. The turbocharged gasoline engine with direct injection accelerates the SUV coupe from 0 to 100 kmph in just 3.8 seconds and 200 kmph in 13.7 seconds. The top speed of 250 kmph is governed electronically but with the optional dynamic package, the top speed is pegged at 305 kmph.
As is typical for the RS model,
the dual exhaust system has an oval tailpipe on each side. The driver can affect the sound of the engine through the Audi Drive Select system. The optional RS Sport exhaust system with black tailpipe trims offers a similar sporty sound. The Bituro V8 gets a lightweight hybrid system (MHIV) and is based on a 48-volt main electrical system. The core of the MHEV is a belt alternator-starter attached to the crankshaft. During deceleration and braking, it can recover power up to 12 kW and store it in a compact lithium-ion battery. If the driver settles on the accelerator between 55 and 160 kmph, the drive management selects one of two solutions based on the driving position and the current setting of the Audi drive selects the dynamic handling system .
The new RS Q8 regenerates or explodes for up to 40 seconds with the engine stopped.
The belt alternator starter starts within a fraction of a second of the engine when the accelerator is energized. MHEV technology allows operation / starting of operations at a speed of 22 kmph. The mild-hybrid system is connected to the camera sensor for even more efficiency. When stopped, the engine starts while the brake pedal is still depressed as soon as the front camera detects that the vehicle has started running in front of the new RS Q8.
The power of the 4.0 TFSI flows through the standard eight-speed
Tiptronic to the Quattro permanent all-wheel drive system. The RS Q8 comes in high-gloss black with an RS-specific radiator grille and gloss black RS honeycomb grille, giving the SUV a unique look. This coupled with the blades in solid side air inlets and high gloss black perfectly highlights the athletic character of the large SUV coupe.
All the elements under the black cloth headlining
have a logical relationship and harmonize with each other. The headlining is optionally available in Lunar silver fabric, Alcantara Lunar silver or Alcantara black. Slim instrument panels and strongly horizontal lines convey a sense of spaciousness. The central element in the cockpit is the top MMI tactile feedback display.
