Tata Tigor EV overview

Tata Motors brand has launched its first pure electric car which is Tata Tigor EV. It has been made available in mid-spec variants like X-XT and three exterior color options like Silver, White and Blue. This EV sedan is targeted towards commercial, private owners and fleet operators in our country. It benefits from the FAME II subsidy scheme offered by the Government of India for electric vehicles, as it attracts a subsidy of Rs.162 lakh. While the Tata brand has also grabbed the order of EV fleet of EESL.

Tata Tigor EV Exterior

The all-new Tata Tigor EV gets almost the same features as its traditional counterpart in addition to its unique EV decals which are present at the front door. The receiving projector has headlights, electrically adjustable ORVM, adjustable driver seat, all power windows, body-colored door handles and bumper. The bonnet is designed to be sleek, while the door panels and fenders are provided with stylish controls. Talking about the rear end, there is a new bumper with chrome badging with tailgate, cladding, high-mounted stop lamps and LED tail lights that make this car beautiful.

Tata Tigor EV Interior

The 2019 Tata Tigor EV interior comes with subtle changes compared to its counterpart Tigor. All seats in comfort and convenience are adjustable headrests, climate control systems, ample and power windows of bottle and cup holders in key areas. In addition, there is a 2-DIN Harman audio unit equipped with USB connectivity, AUX and Bluetooth.

Tata Tigor EV Braking & Safety

 Safety features include rear parking sensors, dual front airbags and an anti-lock braking system to follow the new rules, which come into effect from 1 July 2019.

Tata Tigor EV Engine & Transmission

The Tata Tigor EV specification includes a 72V, three-phase induction motor that delivers 40bhp at 4,500 rpm of maximum power and 105Nm at 2,500 rpm. The engine comes with single speed AT. Car batteries can be charged up to 80 percent within 6 hours by an AC charger or within 90 minutes via a 15kW DC charger.
